It's been a long time...so much has happened!

My son is growing up and I am knitting again.

I have just finished a pair of socks for Sean. He is so happy.

I am trying to use up some of my yarn before I purchase any new yarn so I have also made a pair of sock for who knows who!?

I'm going to finish a sweater that I was working on. I need to seam it up and then I'm done. The neck opening is quite large so I'll see if it garment worthy :)

Christian no longer uses a bottle and eats by himself. He has 12 teeth and is walking all over the place.

Next up? Potty training!

Wish me Luck!

First I would like to say that I absolutely love my son. He is wonderful and I enjoy being a mother.

Next, daycare is closed next week and I am taking a week of vacation so that we don't need to pay two daycares for a week.

Wish me luck.

I love him with all my heart but after a few days of the 24-7 support it begins to wear on my nerves. I'm hoping that I can get a few breaks here and there from family.

ps. Also, things have been so hectic lately and we are poor so this all contributes to the insanity.

pss. It's he the cutest!

Little Biter

So I was running on and on about my day as I sat on a stool in my kitchen with my family when I felt tiny teeth clamping down on my big toe!

My 9 month old son was crawling around and decided to pull himself up to have a bite.

Gotta love him.

Weight Loss Update

I hit the 160.2 mark this morning!!!!!
My trick is portion control, plenty of water and exercise.

New teeth and a low crawl

Christian has two more teeth coming in. One on the left top and one on the left bottom.
He has mastered the low crawl so I in for many hours of chasing him soon.

We went to the Outlet beach in new Gloucester this past father's day. He had a blast and practiced his kicking and paddling. He enjoys sitting in the water and splashing as well.

His skin seems to be very sensitive though. He breaks out easily. He has been taking Zrtec for two weeks now but I still see allergy shiners ever now and again. Poor little man :(

He is such a good boy. He didn't fuss all day when we were at the beach. I am so lucky.

Weight Loss

So on March 22nd I weighed 175 and today I weigh 166!
That's 9lbs in two monthes! I'm used to losing wieght quicker but I am also used to going to the gym 4-5 times a week and doing 10 minute abs everyday. Now I'm lucky if I get to the gym 3 times a week. My brother's wedding is July 15th. Do you think that I can reach the 155 mark by then?

Update

Swimming- Since Sean was in Bar Harbor last weekend Christian and I invited Grampa Goding to come watch his lesson last Saturday. Christian did such a great job kicking and going under water. Grampa enjoyed being able to watch and took us to breakfast afterwards.

Teeth- His third tooth is well on it's way to being fully in but the fourth tooth is just taking it's sweet time. When I checked it this morning it was very red and inflamed. He is taking it very well.

Sleeping- I took two days off from work and de-cluttered the house. I moved Christian out of our bedroom and into our large living room. Christian has spent 3 nights sleeping in his new "room" and he is sleeping through the night. He goes down around 7:30 pm and wakes around 5:00 am. It is so nice to be able to sleep and to also have my space back.

Eating- Christian eats so well. He is eating three meals a day with bottles in between. He also has dessert and cookies on occasion. His favorite cookie is the arrowroot cookie and I think that they are pretty good as well.

Binky- about two weeks ago Christian decided that he is no longer going to use a binky and we are not going to question him as to why.

Sitting- He is sitting all by himself now. If he falls he can't get back up though.

Crawling- we are starting to see the beginning stages of crawling. We have seen him get up on his hands and knees but he can't move from there. We're close though.

Hmm, I can't think of any other topics for discussion so I guess you'll have to wait until my next post for more info.......Enjoy the rainy weather.

Swim Lessons at the YMCA

Christian had his first swim lesson on Saturday and he did great.

This is what they did in the 30 minute class:
2 songs
laps the short length of the pool on their belly attempting to paddle and kick
laps the short length of the pool on their backs attempting to paddle and kick
laps the short length of the pool 1/2 way on their belly and 1/2 way one their back
laps the short length of the pool with the baby on a kick board
the instructor dunked the baby for the ring
laps the short length of the pool trying to catch a ring
laps the short length of the pool with a noodle for the parent (to prepare to do laps the long length of the pool) and a noodle for the baby
2 songs and a dunk at the end of one song if you want

There were only 3 babies in our class.
